I came here for the CCW & Pistol 1 Course and I highly recommend coming here to do so! Scott the instructor for the class made it very easy to pay attention in class and was amazing, as well as his wife Makala whom also was so helpful in setting me up for success with the tools I needed in class and on the range!

Great instructions and drills. Scott and Makala are excellent hosts and very knowledgeable. Lectures are informative and fact based. The shooting drills are conducted in a safe manner with excellent training. I've been to other pistol training academy's and NFAR is on top of their game. Highly recommend them.

I took the CCW/Pistol 1 class. I can't speak highly enough about the instructors and class. The classroom time was engaging and informative. The time spent on the range was very insightful and really helped my shooting. If you're looking to get your CCW I can't recommend this course enough.

Went to NFAR to take a pistol 1 class to qualify for my Nevada CCW. Top notch class and top notch shooting instruction. The instructors, Scott, Makala, and Tyson know they're business. I never thought I would ever want to learn how to shoot but I was blessed with the opportunity to take a 1-1 lesson with Makala and I cannot say enough good things! Makala is a fantastic educator and knows how to explain things so students understand. She is patient, kind and fun! When we stepped onto the range I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but Makala, and Tyson, made me feel comfortable and confident. Definitely an experience I recommend! If you have ever been curious to see if shooting is something for you take a class! You will not regret it! Thank you Makala and Nevada Firearms Academy for the experience!

My wife and I attended the 8-hour CCW course today. The course was extremely educational and professionally delivered, and the instructors and staff made the course a fun and enjoyable experience.
