Mud Lake Public range

A fun little range that's free for everyone. Some silly geese come in and flag you, but just start screaming and you'll be fine.

One of the best free outdoor ranges in Southern Wisconsin

I had the complete public gun range experience—pelted by brass from some guy that stated he doesn’t care if he hits the target, had a 14 year old girl point a loaded AK pistol at the entire group behind her at the rifle range, and marijuana smoke wafting in the air. If you value your life consider a private range.

Glad to see the handgun range is open again. Great little place with a friendly community.

Looked nice from the outside... it has been closed for months with no update

Very nice range. Glad they built it! Of course, with it being free, it can get crowded sometimes. And, I have occasionally encountered people who have yet to understand range etiquette/ safety .... for example a person who might sweep you 3 or 4 times, or the person who is looking out of their scope/ fiddling with their rifle when others are down range during what should be "cold range". But again, being a free range with no range officers has its pluses and minuses. Still a nice place to shoot overall.
