*UPDATE* 7/27/24 As a rebuttal to a newer review, I assure you I was not trying to force ANYTHING on the club. Did I make suggestions on how to appeal to a younger crowd of shooters? Absolutely. Did I choose to write this older review because "I dIdNT gEt My wAy"? No. The mentality of a group that wants younger members and looking into the future but at the same breath does not want ANY CHANGES is completely redundant. Makes 0 sense. If that was the move that they want to take, maybe current members should only be allowed to shoot muskets and cannons. This type of mentality is what hurts any organization. Not staying up with the times or even consideration for the evolution of said sport. Look at car shows. Look at Nascar. Take a gander at ANY member only group, and you will see a lack of change and a lack of participation because of lack of open-mindedness. ALL organizations need to trend. If you do not adapt, you will rot away. There are reasons why this clubs median age is somewhere in the upper 60s to lower 70s. And participation most DEFINITELY shows it! Ask yourself, including the people that read this. Who is going to be here in 20 years? The once "younger crowd" or the same 70 year old guys.... and I highly doubt they will be the ones running the show and doing all there is to do. **ORGINAL POST 2021** You know, I've held back after "leaving" the club. Very, very disappointed in the BOD and as well as the choices that are made pertaining to different and more modern shooting sports. NO STEEL for pistols... period. 0. NO steel rifle shooting unless 100 plus yards away, including 22lr. TRAP shooting is a priority over all Membership is very limited. Most members just pay their dues and never even visit the club. If you want to be a member and under the age of 50, you are expected to work the clean-up days as well as general maintenance for the lot.... HOWEVER, you are also penalized by having to pay more than other members due to age. It's sad, as a younger person (who has wanted to join for years), once joined, I was just shocked by the set ways as well as the mindsets that are prevalent there. Yet they always strive to "get younger members" but yet NEVER make change to attract them.... and once they finally do make it, they are penalized for joining. And lastly..... the opportunity to purchase the adjacent property at a discounted rate (nonetheless) AND NOT MOVE FORWARD PURCHASING IT (opportunities like that will never be there again), they completely blew the opportunity to add property to grow the club and bring in MORE MEMBERS, all because it wasn't taken seriously. Let's see how that pans out when houses are built closer and closer, and then noise pollution becomes an issue..... and there you are........ On to another club that believes in a stronger membership program as well as an open ear to improve the club as well as the appeal to younger shooters (not just a once in a while youth shoot). Change the BOD and the old school mindset..... this is not a direct attack on 1 person, but more of an eye opener for anyone under retirement age that is considering membership. (When I first was a member) Great range, clean, responsible shooters, and no nonsense. Very safe environment to shoot at. Just be prepared to either go with a friend that is a member, go to the open shoots that are open to the public, or get in line on the waiting list to join. Membership is numbered.

Love this place. Laid back place for friendly shooting and competing. Range out to 400 yards! Trap, rimfire and some centerfire competitions as well. Best value and nice people. Sorry to hear that other reviewers want it to change to suit their desires for more aggressive styles of events. To the unhappy reviewers, guess what? You don't always get to tell other people how to run their own club, just because you say they should...

Great club! ATA trap shooting, rifle out to 400 yards, plus separate pistol range. Well worth the wait on the list to join. Proud to call it my home range.

The members of this place are amazing, but the Board of Directors runs the place like a petty dictatorship. If the members are unable to get the BOD under control, I fear for the continued viability of this club. It’s a shame that such a great facility is so badly managed.
