Im only going to rate it a 4. It would be a better if the people that went there were a little more thoughtful and mindful of the people around them.
For a free range it doesn't get any better. Solid benches, trap house, plenty of down range for sighting scopes .
Just moved to the area and found this place, we love it! Close and well maintained!!
This is a really nice outdoor shooting range for pistols, rifles, shotguns, and bows. You must bring your own paper targets. Cardboard boxes work great for a target as well. Always obey all safety rules to keep everyone safe while at the range. Don’t forget to clean up your boxes and used targets before you leave. Have fun and happy shooting!
Usually clean, always open, rarely busy and full unless it's midday on a good day. (PS Google is wrong, they're open Sun up to Sun down Tuesday - Sunday only closed Monday for cleaning. ;) )
Awesome Range – Perfect Pre-Hunting Spot Blacksburg Shooting Range is an awesome place that I love visiting, especially before hunting season. The shotgun area is fantastic—spacious, well-kept, and great for getting in some solid practice. Just make sure to bring your own ammo and targets. There’s always a good variety of cool guns to check out, and Friday nights tend to have some especially interesting ones on the line. It’s a great, relaxed environment for sharpening your skills and enjoying some range time. Highly recommend!
Great experience. First time there and the locals were very helpful and friendly.
