Lake Mountain Shooting Range

I think this is the Soldier Pass Shooting Range. Nice but people should cleanup after shooting.

Really crowded

BLM land with 6 nice bays ranging from 25 to ~125yrds. Lots of 'normal public' shooters and everyone mostly adhered to pack it in pack it out behavior. Open from 6-Sunset.

Glad that there is still an open air place to shoot out there, but brings a lot of people to the same spot and most aren’t very bright. Had a guy walking around slightly down range picking up brass as I was trying to shoot. Like the Wild West, but crammed into one little area.

Free Free FREE is hard to beat!!! I enjoy using the end of the line (long distance) area. Shooting at old / bad full soda cans is a blast. PLEASE PICK UP EVERYTHING PLUS SOME. I also bring steel targets for 150+ yard shots. The areas are separated by berms and most shooting lines with concrete barriers (think road construction). Things can get a little sketchy at times with non safety minded shooters. Occasionally, I'll see a Sherriff's department truck, but you're on your own to keep things safe. Bring some shade / shelter with you if you're going to stay a while. A shooting table or a shooting mat is also a good idea.
