Great place to bring your family. Excellent customer service very well trained professionals on site at all times a place to let loose and have fun 10 out of 10.
Love this range.
I always enjoy going here. I use the pistol range. Everyone is friendly so dont do anything unsafe or dumb and you won't get kicked out.
Covered. Maintained. Safe. My favorite place to shoot.
Honestly, it started out okay. As this was the 1st time I've been able to take my daughter there for her birthday When we decided to try the skeet range. we accidentally damage the remote. Turning it back in was where the problems began. Not if i was not going to be responsible for any damage to equipment (far from it) it's the rudeness and assumptions of hiding damage, the statement of "I'll let you side" in a scolding manner. Yet to allow disrespect. We can speak with respect or not at all. I paid what I owed and left. But not after words. NOT TODAY YOUNG MAN
We were newby shooters and were given excellent assistance and room to practice. Great professionalism, friendliness, this will be our place to shoot in the future. Thanx!!!
Just not my kinda range
One thing absolutely ruins A Place To Shoot for me...you can't retrieve your targets on the rifle range. You go with your carefully prepared hand loads that took a good bit of time to produce, shoot them, and then find you can't get your target for analysis. They tell you to come back within a week. Really? Well, I came back next day to retrieve the target and despite giving them the bay number, etc...and them writing it down...they saved the wrong target. I even gave them my caliber, .308, and they handed me a target with .22 holes. Will never go back. Doesn't matter how nice the staff is, how nice the facilities are (they're decent), you should be able to get your target that day before you leave. They also have these ancient spotting scopes which are worthless and just get in the way. Unbolt that stuff and get rid of it. Now if you're just going there to blast and don't care about the rest, it's not half-bad so it gets two stars. It's cleaner than a lot of ranges out there and generally the booth setup is ok. You go to someplace like Lone Start and the chairs they have are about a foot short of where they need to be to shoot properly from the tables. I have yet to find the perfect range in San Antonio. All have their attributes but they all also have glaring faults. It's mind boggling how San Antonio continues to be the town of half-assed.
We were assisted immediately, the gentleman that helped us was very patient, not pushy or deamining in any fashion, and we purchased a gun.
