A great experience! We were shooting clays and loved the view. One of the towers didn’t work, we called the number provided and within 5 minutes we had a staff member come and make sure all was well. We will be going back.

I signed up for the two hour private with Rhett in order to qualify for the long range. Ended up scheduling 4 hours total with him, very knowledgeable and a great teacher. I learned a lot about my fundamentals even having been shooting for 30 years. If you’re considering, it’s well worth the money and time.

We visited Fossil Pointe Sporting Grounds for the first time this afternoon and had an unforgettable experience. We were a group of three total beginners, and by the time we left, we felt comfortable and confident. The drive was scenic, about 80 miles from where we live, and the place is beautifully set in the countryside. As soon as we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. We signed a waiver, and all the range rules were listed clearly on the back. Special thanks to Rhett, the range officer who helped us. He was patient, informative, and walked us through every step. We rented a Glock with 50 bullets, ear protection, and a target. He showed us how to aim, shoot, load, and unload safely. We each fired a few rounds and loved it. After that, we tried a single-shot rifle from their collection. It was heavier and powerful, and I’ll share a picture separately to identify the model. The rifle range had several experienced shooters with their own guns, but the environment still felt very safe and controlled. The place also had complimentary water bottles, which was a thoughtful touch, especially for an outdoor range. The gentleman at the front desk was kind and welcoming too. Great for beginners or anyone looking for a safe, fun day of shooting in a calm countryside setting. We’ll definitely be going back.

They have several ranges here. Long and short rifle, pistol. Two sporting clay courses and skeet. I typically go to the long range for their positional props. You need to go thru their course to shoot at the long range though.
