Never been to this place and honestly could care less to go. They are wreckless and could care less about how they affect people around them. I live directly behind their establishment and i couldn’t count on both hand how many stray bullets have made it onto our property. They shoot directly towards my house and the back stops don’t do any good at stopping the rounds from making it to my property. It’s going to take someone getting killed in their back yard for there to be any changes made to the way this place operates. Dangerous and inconsiderate is the only way I know how to explain this place. Can’t hunt in peace because they start shooting at daylight (even though business hours are starting at 9am). And shooting metal plate targets at the edge of the river bank is just another one of the sketchy things they do.
The Sawmill is hands down THE top tier training complex on the east coast! So far I've had the pleasure of taking classes with Tom, JT, and Eric, ranging from basic weapon handling and stop the bleed courses, to advaced, tactical, and night fighting curriculums. All of the Cadre are great to learn from and I look forward to taking classes with Dutch in the near future. I highly recommend this place to anyone, whether you're new to firearms, or are a seasoned shooter that's looking to become more proficient!
These gentleman run a top notch facility.
I’ve been to the Sawmill a few times now to participate in the Gun Run US. It’s an outstanding facility.
Great facility and great people. Always a great experience
Outstanding traning complex! We travel the county for airborne tactical operations, both for public use and private/ non-profit charity events and this is one of our favorite places to go! The staff are very professional and just great to work with. Thank you for having us again and can’t wait to come back!
Amazing staff! Dutch and his team really know what they are doing. Quality instruction and without making you feel bad if you need to work on your skills. The facility is awesome, lots of different range types, and many different tactical, and CQB scenario options available.
I recently attended a weekend training with Warrior Women International, and I can’t express enough how fantastic the experience was! From the moment I arrived at the facility, I felt a sense of safety and warmth that made me comfortable as I embarked on this journey to learn self-defense and gun safety. The lodge itself was impressive, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed. It was my first time in South Carolina, and I truly felt welcomed throughout my stay. The trainers—JT, Eric, Mike, and Steve—were incredible! They were patient and knowledgeable, making sure that each of us understood the techniques and skills we were learning. They took the time to show us how to handle various firearms, including the AR-15 and Glock, which was both empowering and enlightening. I also hit lots of targets, which was exhilarating! I left the training feeling confident and equipped with valuable skills to build upon in the future. I highly recommend this training to any woman looking to enhance her self-defense knowledge and skills. This experience exceeded all my expectations, and I am so grateful for the opportunity!
Sawmill is EPIC! Anything and everything you could think of training in, they have it. The instructors Eric, JT, Tom and Steve are the best at what they do. I learned so much and left more confident in myself and my weapon.
