Palachucola WMA Range

Really nice range when open. To bad it is abused by a few idiots. DNR, how hard is it to put a camera up and drive by the range once and awhile?

This range could be great, but management just doesn’t put in the effort. There isn’t even a dumpster — supposedly because they “worry people will abuse it.” Instead, the cans overflow, the place looks like a mess, and then they close it down and blame the public instead of fixing the problem. All we ask is simple: put the effort in to keep it clean and keep it open. DNR has one job here — keep the range safe and available — but instead it feels like nobody shows up, nobody cares, and the people who use this range responsibly are the ones who get punished.

Great, amazing outdoor environment to practice at. Leaving it closed the entire summer is diabolical tho, the owner may be deceased or became sweet as pie. It was honor to visit when you first opened

It is very depressing to have the only free outdoor range close to my area (Beaufort) closed because of some deviants! Please, open our range back up! Include an emergency phone number so we can call the game warden if we see something happening that is inappropriate. Or hire a range master! But part of what this range so special was the fact that it was unsupervised. Range masters always make proper training impossible. Please don’t punish the whole community due to someone’s BAD PARENTING 🙏

Great range. The problem is its always closed ...the last 3 years out of 30 times I have wanted to go shooting there it was closed. I have only been able to shoot there twice. In 3 years .......thats is Just sad.........

I have been there a number of times and have found it exilerating. It's the only range where you can shoot at a 100yd. target at your own pace. If that's a problem, hire a rangemaster..

Has been a great place, its a shame people cant respect the rules and have respect for the ability to go there..
