I recently completed a safety course, qualified, and received my blue card. Yesterday, I walked into Sakonnet River Outfitters to explore firearms for purchase, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I first met Connor, who was incredibly patient with all of my questions. As a woman who is still relatively new to firearms, I really appreciated his guidance and encouragement. He suggested I try shooting a few different firearms so I could find the one that felt right for me. After watching a short video and signing a waiver, I was introduced to Skip, the Range Officer. Even though I had some prior training, I’m still learning, and Skip spent the entire hour with me. He walked me through several techniques, explaining not just how to do them, but why they work — building my confidence and helping me shoot more accurately. Walking into the building was intimidating at first, but I left feeling more confident. I now know this is the place where I will continue practicing and purchasing my future gear. I couldn’t recommend Sakonnet River Outfitters more — special thanks to the entire team!

Awesome staff and range! Went with my 14 year old son. The range officer was really patient with us explained how to use the firearms clearly and made sure we had a good time with giving us tips along the way. We had a blast, so much so we are going again next weekend. Definitely recommend.

Very reputable shop with great stock and superb staff. Indoor range is always clean well staffed and very safe.
