Thanks Mike for helping me with my order
The other guests/members were very friendly and respectful, not the weird clique vibes like at some “sportsmen” clubs. It’s is a clean facility with a little bit of everything. They have a rental area for parties and it would be great for a Divorce party or a bachelorette party or a birthday. The shooting range rates are reasonable but better to join as a member if you think you’ll visit once a month. The variety of guns for sale and ammunition are good, but not the biggest variety in the area. The shooting areas have computerized support for your targets, just clip them on and send it back the exact distance you want to practice on. The ranges were well staffed. I recommend in ear and over ear protection as it felt louder than other indoor ranges I’ve visited. You can rent a lot of different styles of guns if you are unsure or want to add a new product to your collection. The new member welcome session was great. We each received specific feedback on our stance, handling, and corrective recommendations for improvement. There is a gentle pitch about training memberships, but it’s not like the pressure of a time share pitch. The training what sets this place apart from a generic gun range. The small group training is tailored to your needs as a gun owner and they have clear milestones for advancing to the next level of training. Everyone seemed genuinely excited about gun safety and marksmanship, instead of paranoid and volatile and reactionary. Also, I was clocked in a very quiet way when an associate asked what name I’d like on my membership. It was very kind of them to ask. I’d definitely sign up as a member. You should strongly consider the training to help you with your accuracy and/or confidence.
The reason for the 1 star review: I bought the subscription. Had to stop going due to a health issue with a family member. I continued to pay for the subscription until my contract went out. I stopped payments and they called me back to get me signed back up. I declined. That simple. Fast forward to today, I get a call from a collection agency saying I owe them $1,014 for unpaid balances. I thought it might be a mistake so I called Midwest and got no answer and no call back. Update: I talked with Shawn at Midwest and he looked into my account and corrected everything. He was top notch in handling everything my quickly and efficiently. I didn’t have to hound him or call numerous times. He did everything he said he would do the first time. After correcting everything, I changed my review to reflect my training experience with them.
UPDATE 8/27/25 after Midwest Shooting reply: Clearly you are CLUELESS!!!! It is "important to clarify the facts in this case" which are that I called your store to cancel my membership at 1:48pm on 7/25/25. I was told by your rep I had to come in to do so. Which obviously was a complete lie!! This time when I called I was sent a link to my smartphone that I could cancel WITHOUT coming to your store! So yes you are processing now but that should have happened a month ago. Hence the negative review. It's not happenstance that your store has countless 1-star reviews over the last year. Please stop with your BS, self-serving, misleading replies! It's obvious the new management is substandard and has NO INTEGRITY!!!! ------------------- Original Post 8/26/25: Willing to make sure they get one more month of membership fees. Instead of cancelling membership effective immediately for health reasons. Hope that extra $16.49 was worth it!!! 100% disabled military veteran dissatisfied with this place. Previously member here for years, now it's a clown show.
Great experience! Nice people work there, very helpful.
Amazing place with friendly staffs. They have a variety of firearms and the range is also super fun. You can rent any firearms or bring your own. The price is reasonable and I highly recommend coming here if you're a tourist.
We went to this shooting range and were told to register online because there was a free lane. After we registered and they realized we were Iraqi, they suddenly said there was no availability. It felt clearly discriminatory and very disappointing.
They’re racist they didn’t let me family in because we were speaking different languages and i was explaining my family what was going on never will come back here ever again
Marshall Root is an excellent instructor. I always look forward to training
