Orvis Hill Country Shooting Grounds

An old college buddy and I attended two days of Winged Shooting School at Orvis Hillcountry (519 Gladhill Rd, Fairfield, PA 17320) this weekend (Sat-Sun). It was fantastic. A personal coach (Danny S.) was assigned to the two of us and we had expert, one-on-one coaching and instruction for every shot we took on both days. They (Danny (coach) and Carla (shop manager and site coordinator) treated us as if we were colleagues and long-time friends of Orvis Hillcountry. Our coach was patient and thorough and helped us both correct bad habits and build new and correct ones over hundreds of shots. He let me try two different guns, in addition to the one I brought with me, to help me understand fit, length-of-pull, balance, barrel length, and confirm which gun is right for me. I highly recommend Danny and Orvis Hillcountry Winged Shooting School to anyone who wants to improve their sporting clay game!

We took the UTV's out for a ride - great time and lots of trails.

My entire family had an absolutely fun and exciting experience shooting ( we had an instructor!$ and looking at the beautiful views of the mountains.We would absolutely have a big or a small event in their big barn venue!!! Met the owner of the property and he showed us the fishing pond. Definitely going back to fish and shoot!The store was stocked and all the pros were on deck to answer any questions! Definitely one of the places to be if you are anywhere in md, va, pa , dc etc!!!!

My wife surprised me with a UTV excursion, and we had a fantastic time. I highly recommend this experience. The staff was incredibly friendly as well.

This place is beautiful with great views and all kinds of different things to do. The manager is definitely doing his job

Had a great time, although the fog made it more challenging than it had to be. My customers are interested in the night shoots they have over the fall and winter. So we will be trying that at some time. Great atmosphere and very nice place to hold events. Highly recommend them.
