Went for first time. Loved shooting out in nature only shot at indoor. Shot pistol range, LOVE IT. Range steel targets could use a little updating put you still can make it work. Had a great day, will definitely go back.

I've been shooting here for years but its been a few years since I was here before this week. The non competition pistol range steel targets are trashed. I remember when they were new. Most are non functional with broken welds or missing bolts or parts. The Texas star is non functional and the dueling tree nowhere to be seen. There are broken targets everywhere. Find someone to weld the targets and make them functional again. No shotguns on the pistol ranges at all!!! Pistol caliber carbine only on lane 1 and 2. This is bullshit. We used to be able to run three gun with 9mm carbines and shotguns. The rifle range hasn't changed much since they moved the firing line and opened up the 600 yard range in 2012 or so. It is definitely one of the better rifle ranges in Ohio. I haven't shot clays here in 10 years but this is what they really do well. Hopefully someone buys it soon and fixes up the pistol range issues. I have always had a membership if not a family membership in the past but with the sad state of the pistol range I decided to just pay by the hour. It sucks because this was always my favorite place to teach runnin' and gunnin. Still better than the State ranges though.

Edited: I’ve been going to this place for well over a decade, maybe more than 15 years. The pistol range steel has been there longer than I’ve been going, and just as broken as day one. I started bringing my own spray paint because it’s always been shot off. The dividers between each lane has the same dingy green paint that’s always been there. They do have like 8 lanes of broken targets to choose from though, so I guess that’s nice. They also do have some small shelters at the end of some of the bays. They are all filled with hornets and if you try and use one of the tables it may fall over. And by “tables” I mean wire spools turned on end. At least they have nice benches to cool off on one of those hot summer days. Kidding there’s no where to sit at the pistol range, so add a chair to your list. The rifle range you can put targets out to 535yds, which is hard to find around here. They also have mounds at every 50yds. This makes for easy ranging and setting targets. Speaking of targets though, you better have brought your own. They have one steel target at 100yds, and don’t sell any at the clubhouse. Also, you better make stands while you’re at it. They don’t have anything to hang your targets from if you do bring paper targets. You may also notice that sometimes it sounds like it’s raining at the rifle shelter. That’s actually shot raining down on you from the number one skeet station. Oh yeah, that’s also where you park your car, so you and your car can partake in the shot shower. Now let’s talk skeet. You know my issue with station one, you are shooting at others. That could be easily fixed, but no one cares. Good luck reading the machines through the scratched up plexiglass covers, but if you do, you may also need a buddy to hold a wire to the car battery for you that fell off. Now this whole time I’ve been saying skeet, and it’s more of 5 stand, so let’s talk about that. They do have an actual trap range, but that’s for competition only. Speaking of competition only, did you know there’s a whole other pistol range on the other side of the pistol range. Probably not because that is for competition only too. And remember earlier how the rifle range only has the one target that the range provides? Welllll, you guessed it, they do have some there, for competition only. Then remember the pistol range, yeah they have a few lanes off to the side that are for competition only that at least look functional from a distance. Edit: The desk lady has seemed to have changed her ways and has been super nice recently. I had to then update this post then as well.
