I took the CCW course in August 2025. Glenn & Rob made the class enjoyable, and it was very informative. They took the time to go over the entire course. You can tell that both Glenn & Rob love teaching this course as well as sharing their own knowledge, and experience. They truly care and take pride in what they do. They did not make it feel like a typical 16-hour class or make anyone feel uncomfortable. It was also very nice that the owner Peter took the time to come into the class introduce himself and welcome us all in the class. During qualifying Rob & Joe were both very attentive, helpful, and did not make you feel nervous or uncomfortable. They were both very encouraging. I would highly recommend anyone to take the CCW course @ Dark Storm Industries it's well worth your time and money.

I took my time before choosing where to complete my concealed carry weapons course, and I’m very glad I made the decision to go with Dark Storm Industries in Oakdale, NY. The facility is top-tier—modern, clean, and professional. The classroom was comfortable and well-organized, and the range is truly state-of-the-art, all housed within one of Long Island’s largest and most impressive gun stores. From the very beginning, I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff. Peter, the owner, personally greeted our class and even offered a dealer package for firearm purchases upon completion of the course—something you don’t often see at other facilities. The highlight of the experience was undoubtedly the instructors, Glenn Schaffer and Rob Kerr. Their knowledge, professionalism, and ability to keep the entire class engaged far exceeded my expectations. They created an atmosphere that was not only educational but also enjoyable. From the start, they promised that we would leave with not only the knowledge required for our concealed carry certification, but also with improved shooting skills. They absolutely delivered. Their instruction on form and accuracy during the range portion elevated my skills more than I anticipated. The best and cleanest gun store in the area. The range aside, which is state of the art and unlike any other around, the store has tons of accessories to build whatever you need to. I buy all of my firearms here and have for years! I've been a customer since they opened and it's amazing to see their growth. I would have left a review sooner but totally forgot to! Another note (addition since I'm now editing my review) is that I recently took their CCW course and it was a really great course. Packed full of information and the instructors kept it enjoyable. It wasn't just some guy lecturing they made it fun and educational.

Never received ordered product. Reached out few times,no call no reply.

So recently I got my pistal licens, so I went to DSI for assistance in finding something that works for me. After finding what works for me they made the process super easy and explained all the steps I need to do to complete it. Went shooting and needed help in dismantle, clean and lubricate. Found Tom and he did a great job in assistance me. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone who is new or needs something new.
