Lateif is the most knowledgeable, Patient, accommodating and reliable instructor I have ever had the absolute pleasure of being a student to. I haven’t shot a firearm in over 10 years and I needed someone to not only refresh my memory on basic firearm safety and handling but also to receive training for my PTC Qualification. He broke everything down to me in a way that was not only very informative but also easy to grasp and made it really enjoyable and fun to listen too, lots of hands on demonstrating between disassembling a firearm for cleaning, holster drawing, sighting up with both Irons and red dots and understanding NJ’s incredibly strict laws and how demonstrate lawful use of force and understanding all the legal aspects to utilize should you ever have to draw your firearm in self defense. I had my PTC qualification test just last week and passed because of this wonderful man, mind you I haven’t shot in over 10 years and passed on my first go thanks to the training i received from Lateif. So if you want to learn the RIGHT way and not only get proper training but expert knowledge with NJ’s strict laws and have an expert witness Lateif and his team are the best! Mr. Dickerson from the New Jersey Firearms Academy is a highly skilled and knowledgeable instructor. His wisdom and discipline in firearms education are extensive. I highly recommend attending his courses, as they provide a clear understanding of concealed carry weapons (CCW) with realistic illustrations of the use of force, offering a real-life perspective.

I recently attended and completed my NJ Firearms Carrying Permit training at NJ Firearms Academy with Master Instructor Lateif Dickerson. Although I’ve taken several similar courses in the past, Mr. Dickerson is truly in a class of his own. The course was extremely comprehensive and informative—every component, from the detailed case studies to the hands-on training, was exceptional. The support was responsive and professional, and the scheduling was very convenient. If you’re considering getting your NJ Firearms Carry Permit, this is hands down the best place to achieve that goal. Lateif rocks!

If you are a responsible firearms owner and those who would like to be, this is the place to be certified in various courses by a very competent Chief Instructor. He has the experience to show you that his training courses are how it should be done. There were other places where I could have trained at but I'm relieved I went here instead.
