Went there 2 times this week went Tuesday and they told us they had league so we went back Wednesday and same thing what a joke so I asked why not post it on the website and was told the new manger can't access it to let people know. When we went Tuesday they never told us about other league night so kind of pissed me off as what a waste of time
Don’t forget ammo
If your website hours say your open, the hours you post on your front door say your open, AND your open sign is flipped to OPEN then You better be open!! I don’t care if it’s ran by the city or not. It only states Memorial Day wknd hours could vary. Which is on Monday. Not Saturday. The least this place could do if they’re too lazy to update the website, or window hours is put a sign up on the front door and make a message for the answering service stating they’ll be closed for the 3 day wknd. This is a piss poor way to manage this facility, guess some things never change.
Nice range, came here for a North Division meet. It isn't a north facing range with us really nice, but that being said, the scenery behind the range can mess you up, many layers for the clay to go through, so it's easier to lose than other ranges. There are decent wind blockers behind you, from people, to trees to fencing. It's got a really nice club house as well. Also in a handy location, after I got shooting, I swung around to the other side of the range and stopped at UPULLIT.
I’ve been shoot at Koch for the past 4 years and it is a gem. The staff is great and knowledgeable. Reading some of the reviews it is apparent that some lack common sense. Yes it is a public range but after talking to the range manager I am now aware of the limitations placed on this facility. The range needs to be in the black so range hours are pretty limited and employees are restricted to how much they can work. Advice: if posted close time is 6pm don’t show up at 5pm and expect to get out and shoot 10 rounds.
Wednesday October 23, pheasant opener is Friday. Buddy and I meet at 6pm to shoot a couple rounds of trap to get ready to hunt. We walk in and the young lady behind the counter says her boss told her to turn people away. The posted hours say the range doesn't close for TWO HOURS!! AND there are only a couple stations being used on the trap side!! AND it's a lighted range if it gets too dark!! Pretty sure that in Nebraska, at a public range, that is tax payer funded, the week of hunting opener, that this is the wrong person to manage this range. You won't get me to understand otherwise...
Great staff
