Great place with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I brought my custom built p365 to have some iron sites put on and unfortunately the gunsmith got busy and wasn't able to get to it yesterday but he called me to keep me informed! It's still there today but I'm hoping I get a call soon saying it's all done and ready to pick up so I dont have to go another day without my edc.
This used to be a negative review. This place has improved dramatically in customer service. I went in there today, and the staff was amazing, very helpful, very knowledgeable. But above all, I didn't feel rushed or pressured. I look forward to returning soon.
Helpful staff
Staff here are awesome. Descent selection of items for sale and rent. Fair membership plan.
Can't bring your own targets and the ones they sell are $3 a pop, not a good variety. Honestly, visited this place today for the first time and for a spot of such decent caliber, I would expect way more target options or the ability to bring your own, and have them be inspected - as I've seen so many other ranges do.
Getting back into guns for the first time since I was a teenager. Place is extremely relaxed and the process to get to a lane is pretty seamless. I haven't bought anything from Athena yet and I'm sure it would be somewhat marked up if I ever did. And the transfer fee is a little higher than I want to pay. But I have used them for transfers before and if it saves dealing with getting copies of an ffl mailed or faxed out, I will just pay more and have Athena do the transfer. I also have never taken any class here but the staff always seems willing to help or discuss topics so I'm sure those are decent-good. But as a guy that wants to come in, pay my money, shoot and go home. I couldn't ask for a better experience.
$75 Transfer fee. Great staff; however, their FFL transfer fee's are ridiculous and I will no longer use them as an FFL. There are many other places to have your purchased firearms sent to. Moreover, prices-gouging your clientele on transfers that may have returned to use the range seems like a poor business choice. They vendor I used listed Athena Arms transfer fee's as $35. My failure to confirm that before shipping my purchase to them was my fault. That being said, anyone who charges these kind of prices on gun-loving Americans is not what I consider a good steward of the Right to Bear Arms. Anyone who truly supports American rights while simultaneously charging outrageous prices for a transfer does not sit well with me. Responsible and ethical gun owners should be encouraged to purchase firearms and any gun range operating should know that if a gun owner has a good purchase experience, they're more likely to come back for range time. I'll go elsewhere in the future.
I booked a range lane online for 4pm, I arrived and was helped promptly and quickly. The staff was friendly and great! Will be continuing to use this range from now on!
