So cool!!!
We spent the weekend at the lodge for a team planning retreat. The lodge accommodations are fantastic, and every person we came in contact with was so helpful and welcoming. We felt so well taken care of, from the moment we arrived until we checked out. Event planning, the chef and staff, and the housekeeping staff were all 5-star. It was such a pleasure meeting Mr. Jimmy and Jewel, his Lab partner - he personally checked on us throughout the weekend. We didn’t do any shooting but did see others taking part in clay shooting while we were there. We did, however, very much enjoy the view from the porch rockers. I would highly recommend.
This property is absolutely breathtaking and the facility is immaculate! A non-profit I am a part of held its board retreat inside the main lodge and the accommodations far exceeded my expectations!
Absolutely amazing place. Top notch lodge with great food and super nice personnel.
Such a great experience we had today. Our guide Pierce and his three dogs was exceptional! The food was great as well!
Every aspect of Prairie is 1st class. Lodging, food, people, and hunts. I have quail hunted all around Southeast and this is the standard for top tier experience. Look forward to more trips at Prairie Wildlife.
Thanks to Xavier, Phil and Courtney for a coordinating a fabulous time shooting Helice last weekend. First time my son and I had ever shot it and we had a blast. Thanks also to Kit who shot with us and showed us how it is done. Great facility with super options on hunting or shooting clays.
We drove from Nashville to Prairie Wildlife Lodge for their annual 2024 dove hunt. The price was $250 per person, which included a breakfast and lunch. We were actually a bit disappointed in the food, which consisted of a plain sausage biscuit and fruit for breakfast and hotdogs and burgers for lunch. I guess we were expecting a bit more of an elaborate breakfast and lunch based on the reputation of this lodge. The guides we had in the field we were assigned to were great. They were very knowledgeable and nice to chat with. There were plenty of birds flying early. However, the field was crowded, and there were some inexperienced hunters shooting low birds, making it a bit of a safety concern (especially with how crowded the field was). One person shooting near us clearly shot over their limit. Rumer had it (we heard during lunch) that game wardens came to another field that AM and shut the hunt down due to baiting. However, I am not able to confirm, as that was not the field we were hunting in and we never saw wardens in our field. Overall, it was great seeing as many birds as we did, but did not feel like it was worth the drive time and cost of the hunt due to the crowded fields and quality/selection of food provided for breakfast/lunch.
