Very rude and ignorant guys behind the counter will turn you away from shooting because they think fmj ammo is armor piercing rounds
I had the pelasure of taking a basic gun class at Range USA last Fall which provided great basics and range time. Since then, I've signed up for the Premium membership and another intermediate gun class. As someone who lives past Rogers, this was conveniently located, clean facility, and great store layout. The safety officer inside the range has always been so conversational and helpful. I've also had great interactions with most of the customer sevice reps. and a really proactive young lady who works Weekends from 2 to 6pm. Unfortunately I had 3 experiences that sealed the deal on me canclling my membership- the last one being a team lead. Although I was a member and in the member line, I was charged non membership prices for 380 range bullets my first time there. I hadn't realized it until anotha rep- on a separate occasion, qouted me non-membership bullets although I was in the members lane. It wasn't until I questioned the lower priced labels -he acknowledged it was member prices. I confirmed I was a member and he rang me up accodingly. To add context, I had purchased a gun at Fleet thereafter and was sold the incorrct gun despite questioning the key differences in Rueger 380 security vs. Secturity 9mm. In addition to being sold range bullets when I needed self defense bullets. I later learned from a helpful rep at Range USA about the trade options for a credit towards another gun if I wanted. He also encouraged me to verify how Fleet Farm registered the sale and see if I could return it. It had been over a month so I wasn't confident in that but that did bring me back in the store later to verify the process. I came back on a Saturday and was met with a lead (Asian man) Chiam/chiam and another male rep behind the counter. When I walked in I greeted everyone. The lead rapid fire asked if I was there to shop, shoot or something else. It was so fast and off putting that I could only pause. He repeated it, I explained I wanted more info. About the trade in process and also who I would need to speak with if I decided to go with that option. After explaining the process. He said I could come in and speak with anyone however I was previously told I'd need to speak with a manager or higher up which I relayed. The rep. behind the counter confirmed I would need to speak with a lead and confirmed Chiam was a lead. Shocked the hell outta me as he was so off putting and short the whole interaction- now giving misinformation. The culmination of all those experiences compelled me to cancel my membership that day. Overall, I really prefer Range USA to say Bills- I'd come by myself bi-weekly, recommend them to others, even planned to take my daughter and mentee. I also promoted their open house event but now have mixed feelings after the negative experiences 😔
This was our first visit to this range. The initial staff member who assisted us was friendly and helpful, guiding us to complete the intake form on the iPad. After completing the form, my husband and I were discussing which handgun I wanted to try, as we’re considering purchasing one for me. Unfortunately, our experience took a turn when another employee, Ian, was noticeably rude. He curtly instructed us to come to him, despite us explaining that we were just having a conversation to decide which gun to try first. When asked if we wanted to purchase a membership, I firmly declined. The interaction left me so unimpressed that we nearly walked out, but we decided to stay and shoot. We encountered an issue with the second rental handgun, which had a problem when racking. We brought this to the range master’s attention, but the overall condition of the guns felt subpar, as they seemed overused. Upon returning the second rental handgun to Tim at the counter, his demeanor was unhelpful and unfriendly. He mentioned that we hadn’t paid for the rental, to which I responded that they had my license, so I wasn’t going anywhere. So I went to get my credit card. Frustrated by the poor customer service and the condition of the equipment, I chose not to rent another gun to try and decided against spending any more money at this establishment. Overall, the poor customer service and issues with the rental guns overshadowed what could have been a positive experience.
Common bills gun shop store just not that much varieties of used firearms.
