Very rude old lady who has power trips don’t go here
I will never do business with Recoil Firearms! I was in the store for approximately 6 minutes looking at handguns and waiting to be assisted. One employee was helping some young men who were looking at bb guns. The employee actually turned to me and said hello. I have nothing negative to say about him, because he was assisting customers and acknowledged my existence! Two other older white Recoil Firearms employees stood at the counter chatting despite me waiting to be assisted. A white couple walked in with their 3 children. In less than a minute, the older white female Recoil Firearms employee who was at the counter walked by me, and asked the white couple if they needed assistance. The employee knew that I was in the store before the white couple. I turned to the white couple and told them that it is amazing that I was in the store for about 6 minute, and that the employee left the counter to assist them knowing I was there first. The couple apologized to me (not their fault), the husband told the employee that I was in the store before them. The employee did not utter one word, I thanked the couple and walked out of Recoil Firearms. I am a black man and can't speak on how Recoil Firearms treats other minorities, but I can say that as a black man, I experienced racism and was discriminated against by Recoil Firearms employees. To write this review, I was forced to give a star value, but I wish I could post my review giving zero stars! They should change the company name to “Racists Firearms”!!! Too many reviews like this, so it’s apparent that the owner condones Racism and is a part of the problem! -------- I don't see a way to respond to you owner other than on my review. [You are the one being "ridiculous" and "deceitful" for acting like you aren't aware of multiple reviews accusing the same two employees of being racists. YOU are acting like it's an isolated incident when it's a chronic problem! You haven't done anything about the problem thus far, so why should anyone be foolish and think you will look into the problem that you already know exist. If you want to speak about it on the phone then respond call me!]
Friendly service! Clean range but the waiver process took 25 minutes to watch a video plus the online paperwork but its a one time event so there is that. My only complaints are a) the target retrieval system is slower than snail spit b) every shot sent a flurry of white ceiling tile debris raining down on me and my firearms 🙄 (also if there isn't exactly 1 second between shots the voice in the sky from the angry range GODS gives you a stern but brief reprimand lol) all in all it was a good time and the prices weren't hard on the pocket book...also veterans get half off but because my ID was in my work wallet I wasn't afforded it (even though I had pics of myself and my team in full battle rattle in Iraq) but maybe next time! Recommendation: Give them a try if your in the area! They also have a great selection of firearms not sure of prices however 🤔
Great place to practice. Very clean.
Walked around the gun counter for 15 minutes not a single person asked me if I needed help.
I need to go more I had an awesome time just need more training because it was an adjustment to start training vs me just going to the ranges and shooting my way Icw to get licensed so I can safely deal with my artillery 😅😁 5 stars
First off if you live around, you know everyone skips this place just go further downriver. Now for the free class I had my suspicions when they emailed me the day of stating there were over 500 spots per 1&1/2 time slot. I had the second class of the day, in which the line was down the plaza. If you only have so many lanes, then why book people for time slots. Most people move on a schedule if something starts & ends at a time, that’s what I’m expecting. Instead of doing something great for the city, they used this opportunity as a greedy way to market & that shows more into the ownership of the facility.
Great business, very clean range, great pricing in the store. Recoil Firearms is one business you can say gives back to its community
Absolutely loved the experience. This was my daughters first time at the range. I think she enjoyed it a little too much lol. Everyone there was nice and welcoming. We will definitely come back.
VERY unorganized. Wife signed up for the LAID class from 4:30-6 pm. At 6:15 she was still in line waiting with 35 people in front of her with someone coming out to say they were running behind. Running behind? Her class was supposed to start 2 hrs ago and she's still in line with only 20 lanes total and this is supposed to be 1-on-1 training. Claim the class is free for women but is it actually free when your wasting 5 hrs of your time? Another failed attempt by recoil! Stick to Midwest or downriver for classes. Those 2 places actually fill time slots, they don't let 100 people sign up for the same time slot with only 2 intructors
