Detroit Sportmen's Congress

I'm all for safe shooting and proper range etiquette but the old man at the rifle range who yells at everyone is the opposite of the shooting culture we should promote. Long time enthusiast but when you bring out someone new to teach and this guy just yells and talks down to people it does the opposite a new shooter who is nervous is more dangerous. Instead of guidance and helpfulness he berates and belittles shooters. You would think a club like this would want to welcome and encourage new shooters. This is why the sport is dieing because old grouchy gatekeepers make it a place where you never want to come. I wish it would change but it won't because the old boy club will look at any input like this as a something that it isn't and dismiss it immediately like outsiders don't know. I spent 20 years in military and won countless awards for shooting and that probably still isn't good enough for guys like this. Detroit sportsman congress please do better.

Lots of different disciplines. Great junior programs and coaches.

The people's there were very helpful & attentive to what is helpful for you progress on the range.

This place is top notch. I took my son there for 5 stand and the President pulled for us!

If you're a hunter or shooting enthusiast, a great place to shoot archery or guns as we have allot of different venues. Also an awesome staff who are very helpful and supportive. A great place to join and become a member!
