Great place to shoot some targets. 10 yard, 25 yard, 50 yard, and 100 yard target zones.
The cost to come here is zero, because it is funded by the state of Michigan. They provide spotting scopes, all you need to do is bring your cordless hole punchers, ammo, and targets. You have to either bring legitimate game targets or bull’s-eye. And yes, they are strict about rules there, but this is for safety sake. I got reminded a couple of times about stepping across the yellow line and that was just cutting across after I got done checking my targets. I will gladly go here again.
Only 4 stars because the foam behind the targets were shot up so bad I almost couldn't put up my target. Other than that I love my DNR ranges here in Michigan.
Range officers need a Xanax or some Lisinopril (it's a high blood pressure med). Range rules are just like any other DNR range. Don't shoot fast, keep it pointed down range, blah blah blah.... Lord forbid you have a magazine with more than 6 rounds in it because magically 4 more rounds and it's the apocalypse. If you need to zero a hunting rifle at 100 yards thats fine, I guess, but anything other than that please go somewhere else. Just because it's "free" doesn't make it useful...
Has a range for most everything
