I have attended multiple training classes here with MDFI. You won't be disappointed

Visited SLOC for the first time today to attend my orientation. Very happy and impressed with the vision of what this range will be. No ranges are safe, but I felt confident and secure knowing that the people shooting in the adjacent bay were being safe shooters. At first glance, you see a place with great bones that needs some TLC, but MDFI and their members are slowly but surely working to make the range and grounds THE place to be. It is a place I hope to enjoy with my friends and family, and not just to shoot at. Kayak, camp, or even just come hang out in the lounge. Really happy to see the future of this place unfold and am honored to be a part of it. I drove almost 95 miles one way and have no problem doing that again and again just to be able to enjoy this place.

New owners are definitely developing a different type of range experience. Especially with building and bays being revamped. Can't wait to get back out to the range!

Spectacle Lake Outdoor Club is a spectacle to behold! The new owners have done some amazing upgrades to the ranges! Safety is paramount and the new range design bears that out! The new berms are enormous and each bay is truly a bay of its own! 100 yard, 50 yard, 25 yard and three 15 yard bays provide members with an array of training opportunities! Camping, fishing and a soon to be completely remodeled clubhouse make a one stop venue for firearms training and family fun! SLOC is hands down the safest place to train. It's a members only club where safety is stressed. The MDFI alumni have all had extensive safety reviews when they train with MDFI. That said, the new ownership group investing the improvements in this club will make this the absolute best club in the state of Michigan. Amazing range! I am a current range member and I recently spent time on the range with other members. Great group! The benefits of SLOC are that it is private range and membership consist of having to take at least one MDFI course in the past which grants you the required prerequisite for membership . If you have ever taken a class with MDFI then you know safety is paramount and that emphasis on safety is perpetuated by each member participating in usage of the range. The new bays provide for an awesome shooting experience from 25 out to 100 yards. All in all this a great range to become a member if you have the opportunity to do so.

The improvements being made to this club by the new Ownership is simply spectacular (pun intended). This is a members only outdoor club that has some pretty simple pre-req's for joining. checkout the website and email to find out how. if you want a safe place to train, this is it!
