Took a one on one training with Larry. I liked the fact that I can take as much time learning without time restrictions because other place only do 1 hour. I really enjoy my lesson and I also had fun too.
Pros: You can train in ways you cannot anywhere else. Cons: Unsafe. Friends and I incurred injuries due to ricocheting bullets — had to pull a piece of shrapnel out of my cheek only to learn that they had a solution to the problem but never implemented it. Also, after a few rounds you will see your breath when shooting — it’s not cold, it’s lead in the air due to poor ventilation. Money management Was supposedly a “rifle” club hence the name and sold the land. However, none of the money went towards improving the range. Always asking for money but no clue where it goes as they raised around $3K but only added light bulbs. Leadership The President is a tyrant. I created a solution to the problem that resulted in my getting injured and was greeted by an angry phone call that I didn’t ask permission. The man lacks social skills and is disrespectful. Makes rules that don’t apply to him like range door must be closed but you will find him shooting from the hallway or leaving the gate open when he leaves but sending an email if you do it. Even micromanages how members sweep up brass.
Larry was great! Had an awesome experience learning to improve my marksmanship skills. First time taking a firearm class and i’ll tell you i learned alot. Nice sized range, Local, GREAT ONWERS. I Highly recommend!
Great club to shoot !!. Most of the time you have the range for yourself ! Larry Buck the president is very helpful especially for people new to shooting.
Great place for private learnings to master your shooting skills
