Great place a great management . I try to come every other weekend or every month. I like how you can come and be by your self so you can focus. Outdoor ranges are fantastic and this one is like no other range. Great place to go and join. I’m glad I joined and will be back for sure.
Very nice range to shoot with its quirks but what makes it outstanding is the 500 yard berm as no range gives you this distance. Also very nice is the professionalism of the range officer. I've never gone to a place that didn't have some old cranky redneck lording it over you lecturing about how you're looking at the target wrong or some baloney like that. Follow the rules they leave you alone here. Some elements appear a bit dilapidated or archaic. There is no running water for example so you will need to bring lead wipes with you as there's no sink to wash your hands. You cannot shoot steel closer than 200y, you cannot shoot handguns on the rifle range with barrels <8.5", nor can you place clay pigeons on the berm which is a pity but range rules are range rules. The hours are a bit odd too as the RSO signs off at 3pm and you have to leave then. You also cannot bring a guest only members can shoot and for out of staters it's not exactly cheap either. That said it's the longest range around and it's a chill place to shoot with very nice membership with management that doesn't bust chops. I highly recommend Woodcock.
Very friendly staff and members. Atmosphere is welcoming to both new and long-time shooters. Highly recommended. Great clubhouse with outgoing and social people.
Always a great spot !
