These people banned masks in the facility during covid. As a conservative, I believe that forcing people not to do something is just as wrong as forcing them to do something. I would not support a business that deprives people of their choice and free will.
Not very crowded place, helpful personnel, Reasonable prices Good place to practice
Good all round crew, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
This store has a great history & does good stuff for the community I have visited this shop on tours, and we were headed to the ATF Technology Branch to record our Podcast LIVE Then I visited again on other tours in the area I watch their You Tube channel for news about the area and their shop
I have been to the MGN many times. The staff is professional, knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. They are great answering my questions. It is a organized, friendly, non stuffy environment. As soon as you walk in you are acknowledged and helped. It's well worth the drive from MOCO... thank you MGN!
Great customer care. Folks out there are super friendly.
My first visit, and I have to say, The Machine Gun Nest is awesome! In the WV/MD/PA Tri-State its one of the few indoor ranges for shooting everything from handguns to rifles. A dozen well lit roomy lanes, each with its own storage cubby for your bags and gear. A very well stocked retail store. Some incredibly helpful, friendly, and quite knowledgeable staff. And the best selection of rentals anywhere. They have a choice of something like 150 rifles, pistols, etc. One thing that will impress on your first visit is their focus on safety. They inspect all weapons on arrival. And the range safety officer is actually in the range area observing activity, not just on the premises. So when the weather gets bad or too hot to be outside, this is the place to go.
I have private property I typically shoot on, but if I go to a range, it’s usually the machine gun nest! Great staff, fun and safe range. As an experienced shooter, I sometimes like to have some fun and do some rapid firing! If you are safe at this range, follow the rules, and are experienced and can safely do this they don’t give you any problems. Just about every other range to my knowledge you must wait 3 seconds between shots. This is ineffective if you have any intent on improving your efficiency or accuracy for a potential situation where multiple fast shots in succession are necessary. Staff and range officers will answer questions, provide tips, and have even helped me resolve issues with malfunctioning guns!
Best selection of rentals I’ve ever seen and convenient license renewal training schedules.
