Nice range, and free for public use (a rarity where I'm from). When I went, I saw only one other small group of shooters. A couple things to note: -There are target stands (repositionable at 25, 50, and 100 yds, I believe); just remember to bring a staple gun or something else to affix your targets with. -The road in is a little rough for sedans, but still easily navigable. --There's no cell service, but the way back to the highway is pretty easy to remember. -The only drawbacks are the tubes (which don't allow for a lot of light to get through your glass and would make it difficult to shoot with an observer/spotter) and the amount of spent brass left on the concrete pad. Pack your brass when you leave, folks.
Awsome place. Also I've been 3 times in 2 months and no one was there, as much room and time as I wanted
Pretty place out there, going to the range. We'll maintained range.
Very nice range! It's so much better going out there over an indoor range! It's clean and well-cared for.
Grateful for the ranges at our Wildlife Management Areas. Would like to see the tubes done away with, this hinders the teaching of young shooters and actually causes folks to not want to use the rifle ranges. Build the backstop taller and this will ensure the rifle ranges are safe.
I'm not a fan of the tubes. If you're a reloader, the tubes get in the way to check for speed. The pistol range is nice though.
It was just us and one other couple and there’s plenty of space for me to walk around while he practices and vice versa. The rifle range is enclosed behind where you shoot so i liked that extra safety measure, pistol area is separate and smaller. The only other outdoor range I’ve been to is Whitman & the road on this one is better than that, but it’s still a gravel road so be careful and pay attention.
Terrible place. Don't go here. I would hate for it to become overcrowded.
Went on a Monday and had the place to myself. I hate the tubes for iron sight weapons.
