Great Plains Precision Rifle Range

Fantastic range! Other members have been safe and friendly every time I've been. No public ranges within an hour or two drive allow steel targets, so having them here is a huge plus. Like others have mentioned, different barricades all around, not just bench shooting. Tim/Dave are always improving the place too and have already added more benches.

Great range ran by great guys. It is clear they care about their customers as they are always improving the range in big ways. They could choose to have poor customer service as there is nowhere else close to KC that has a range going beyond 300 yards, and that's a private one. The longest public one is only 200. They could have the, "where else will you go" attitude but they don't. If there were ten other ranges with the same distance as them, I'd still come here.

Quiet and good long range range.

Not only is it an excellent shooting property (setup, options, etc.), but the range management is top-notch. I first visited as a guest and that was more than enough to solidify the dues, and drive time from my house (about 40 minutes coming from South OP.

Best range by far in this area. Nothing else like it. The owners are both knowlegable good guys.

Excellent range orientation class before you can use the range. Helpful, friendly owner and range officers. Well separated short (100 yards) and long {1,300 yards) ranges with a good selection of shooting positions. Worth the short drive from KC Metro. Good value for the money. The short (Zulu) range has berms at 25, 50 and 100 yards with provision for 7 and 10 yard pistol targets on the 25 yard lane. Photography and videos are encouraged here as long as you tag the range in them. (good place for gun influcers to go). Porta potty for restrooms. Bring water and snacks. Packed gravel road in, accessible by any vehicle. 24x7 camera surveillance to ensure only members are on the property. Hosts one of the largest NRL22 clubs and matches in the region. Also hosts the KPRC and MOST (Kansas and Missouri precision rifle) matches. With the range setup, you can still use the Zulu range while an all day match is going.

Beautiful place to try your long range shooting!!

Been a member here for a couple of years now. I can't think of any other place I've visited where there is always a friendly face that is eager to chat you up about something. The owners are always very receptive to feedback and do so much to try and give back to the members. I've encountered all walks of life at this range and everyone has always been very welcoming and helpful. Tons of props to practice from, 100, 50 and 25 yard lanes to plink or shoot groups. Matches almost every month to participate in, lots of classes/training offerings. Safety is always held to the utmost of importance and a top priority here, have never once felt unsafe.
