Lake Afton Public Shooting Range

I arrived 12 minutes before they closed on my 1st visit. The range was well lit (lol) and clean. The staff are volunteers. They were nice, told me the rules and answered my questions politely. I drove from Derby just to function check a few weapons. It's free It's run by volunteers. It's a nice drive. Google gets the hours wrong on a lot of places. I can't imagine a grown man whining in these comments about any of that. I certainly would not want to shoot with them around.

Not sure what the complaints are, because I had a great time on my first visit. Staff was professional and above all-- SAFE. Range was clean, easy to figure out the rules.

Can't speak to the quality of the place, since the 3 times I've came out it's been closed. Even though it says open on thr website. And here it is the 4th Saturday at 2:15. Says it's open at this time. But nope, closed again. Last time I'm wasting my time driving over here.

Cheney range is always open and free. Bring check or cash. Target setup is lacking. Keep driving to Cheney. If your a loner this is your place but only twice a month. Come on really?

Never open when it says it is.
