Stopped in at Pelchers today to support a local business and was kind of disappointed but not surprised. Took me 2 minutes just to get buzzed in, then after being handled by a polite and informative associate, I was unfortunately handed off to someone who treated me like he was an old school good old boy who apparently didn't have appreciation for a patron of a different persuasion. Long story short, I was shamelessly overcharged (after shopping) for range time that was never used. As a serious enthusiast and born & bred red blooded American, I took exceptional offense to this and chose to maintain my decorum in the establishment and express my frustrations online. I didn't argue with his ridiculous upcharges and I won't be coming back, this isn't the first time my dollars have been unappreciated at Pelchers. The 2 stars are for the attentive (Asian) employee who assisted me prior to the biased other guy. I've been thrown out of better joints than this, shop around.

Have to say I'm 39 years old and the only time I have experienced RACISM was when I visit this racist establishment. When I walked in I wasn't greeted and was looked through like glass. I was at the counter to ask about buying a a Springfield Xd.45 knowing what I wanted. A Caucasian customer walked behind me from the gun range and the customer service worker looked over my shoulder and greeted the Caucasian customer with a friendly smile( I was greet at all) and said I can help you out sir. The customer said no thank help this gentleman out( talking about me) and finally the clerk acknowledged my presence. I asked about but a Springfield Xd and he said they didn't have it and they were unsure how long it will take to get it. I was willing to pre pay same day for it but the clerk demeanor was like he wanted me out the store immediately. My uncle and Grandpa told me about whites in the past being racist and my visit to Pelcher Outdoors was my first time in my life experiencing Racism. Any person of color DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THE RACIST PEOPLE GO ELSEWHERE

Everytime I come to shoot I always have a great experience. The staff is just amazing in my opinion, always get caught up in conversation about guns. Makes me feel welcome all the time.

They a very helpful. Have made my second purchase from them. Enjoy using their indoor range and recently took their CCL training. Highly recommend them if you need to take your training towards getting your permit.

What a great little range, with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Stopped by whilst on a trip from the UK. Was able to shoot with Passport and Driving licence, as long as accompanied by an an Illinois Resident with permit and you are proficient in range safety as there is no range marshal. Great choice of handguns to hire, and they very kindly would allow us to swap weapons half way through our session without additional charge. Must have a cap, ear and eye protection, but all available at the store at reasonable price if you forget. Overall a great experience and would definitely swing by again on future visits. Very many thanks to the team.
