Testudo Virtual Shooting Range

I can't say enough good things about Testudo Defense and Nate as an instructor! I recently completed the CCW course and it was the best overall gun training I've ever done. The instructional portion of the class covered a range (no pun intended) of topics in both an engaging/interactive way without becoming either technically pedantic or mere perfunctory overview. Everything from discussing mindset and training, to draw and pistol grip technique, to the legal ramifications of concealed carry were covered thoroughly. Nate taught authoritatively from a well of obvious experience, but humbly and meeting each student at their individual experience level (which varied across the class). The judgment training simulation and AAR feedback that concluded the classroom instruction was worth the price of the course, especially being able to see others run simulations and being able to learn together from one another's mistakes. Range time was well-organized and focused on reinforcing the technicals of concealed carry and presentation utilizing various pistol drills. As students, we were given a safety briefing to start and then expected to be a part of keeping one another safe. Feedback on performance was a great balance of specific comments from both Nate and the RO as well as students interacting with one another. Overall, it was an outstanding training course. I highly recommend Testudo Defense!

Nate was an excellent instructor! Nate was knowledgeable, experienced, patient, thoughtful, and conscientious. I left the class with so many more tools than I arrived with- it definitely gave me allot more confidence as a gun owner. I also liked how Nate ran the range time; there was an emphasis on safety and thoughtfulness which was really helpful. I would recommend Testudo Defense to anyone!

I took the CCW (concealed carry weapons) course and I was very satisfied with the training. It was in-depth, engaging, and introduced the proper mindset and skills you should have when it comes to dealing with deadly force. This class lets you apply for the Idaho Concealed Weapons License (many states accept it).

Really enjoyed the Ladies Basic Pistol class! After about 4 hours in the classroom/virtual range and 2 on the outdoor range, I feel much more comfortable around guns and confident with a gun in my hands. Nate did a great job explaining the history of guns, breaking down how a pistol works, giving us time to take our guns apart/clean, dry fire, and get a feel for how it should feel in our hands. Nate was very cautious and I felt really safe in his class. Highly recommend for any ladies interested!

Nate’s class was the best! A day before I went to the class, it was hard for me to even look at a gun let alone shoot it. I came from a place of being very much a beginner to wanting to shoot whenever I can now. I feel that everyone that is like me should not even think about handling a gun before taking Nate’s basic pistol class. His emphasis on safety and the knowledge he has is top of the line. I am very thankful for his approach and respect he has for the pistol and I am grateful he was able to share that with me. I encourage everyone that is considering guns to take Nate’s class!

I took Testudo and Nate’s Ladies Only Basic Pistol Class class and I am so glad I did. Nate’s expert instruction helped me dust off some old skills that needed to be honed. Nate is patient and willing to answer questions and provide honest, specific feedback on how to improve. I highly recommend this class and look forward to future classes with Nate.

Testudo and Nate's instruction has been invaluable to me for improving my draw speed, accuracy, and overall ability. The value of quality of instruction and experience for cost is hard to beat. I highly recommend for folks of any age or ability!
