The trainers are knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly skilled at meeting you where you're at. They don't just run drills they teach real-life application. Their focus on safety, situational awareness, and confident handling is exactly what you need in serious training. The facility is clean, professional, and welcoming. You’re not getting a “tacticool” lecture, you get real world training from people who actually care about your development. You walk out more confident, more capable, and 100% glad you went.
I've been with Simshot since February 2023 and have always had the best experience. Jeromy and Nick continue to grow, encourage and advocate for persistent and consistent growth in each member. Additionally they hold themselves to the same standards they preach and you will frequently see them taking further training or competing at events across the state. Their candor and demeanor may not be for everyone but the quality of instruction cannot be beat. If you decide to get serious about the responsibility of owning and operating firearms you will not find a superior option in the valley
Excellent experience I highly recommend for a Enhanced CCW course if you're looking for a lot of great information. They offer many other courses too. I will be looking into the other courses soon.
I was not raised around any guns. At 19, I started bird and big game hunting w/hubby. The only pistol I shot hunting was a S&W .44. Mostly shotguns- O/U and semi auto- and rifles. I even won some clay pigeon competitions. Always wanting horses We bought 2 and went on group bird hunts with them. Deciding I was done hunting after 15yrs, I chose horses 4ever, have had them 40yrs. 7yrs ago I married a USAF 20+ year Veteran, and he introduced me to pistol shooting. Didn't go out much to practice, but I'd caught the bug! Wanting to start shooting again and knew I needed training!! Simshot was my choice! Jeremy and Nick are AWESOME. The day class was extremely well done. So much information and personal insight from both. Add the guest speaker, an Ada County Sherrif. Sharing on duty and experience and what takes place after an incident was invaluable. Best advice, avoid it! Knowing a bit about his job was interesting and put reality into the training, and his personality is perfect to inform us all what we must consider and the results of those choices in situations we may face. There is more than just one choice. Good advice that Nick and Jeremy also covered very well with options if events call for fast thinking, and choosing well. Consequences vary depending on OUR decisions. Carrying doesn't mean that's the only choice you have. The shooting range was also very informative, and very helpful. And it was "fun", but the reason for the day was our #1 responsibility, not for fun, it was training us the ONLY right way to handle a weapon, and the wrong way was made very clear! Nick and Jeremy are super professional, as well as patient - to a point! Safety first is #1, it's a responsibility for everyone around you. I appreciate Jeremy's help more than he knows. They answer every question, and there are no stupid questions! I will sign up for more hands on training with Simshot, as well as virtual training. I can't say I will ever be done with my training. Thank you Simshot- Jeremy and Nick- you both taught me we can never have "enough" training. 5⭐️ aren't enough to rate my experience with Simshot!!!
I've taken 2 classes from Simshot, and am quite impressed with both classes. There has been a mixture of men and women, older and younger folks. Jeromy and Nick have shown themselves to be excellent trainers - polite and respectful to all the students, but at the same time, making the classes very enjoyable. No one feels dumb for not knowing something, and both instructors make sure that each student is understanding the skills. Additionally I truly appreciate how safety is a priority with them. From the start, they make sure everyone is familiar with safety protocols.
welcoming environment and classroom setting. Experienced and knowledgeable instructors who encourage questions/dialogue. learned new-to-me techniques/concepts/skills which were never introduced in my previous LE and firearms trainings. Look forward to working more with Simshot in the future.
Nick and jeromy are top notch. If you want the most informative concealed enhancement class. Simshot is the place to go. They didn't skip a beat, or let any questions go unanswered. True professionals who care about teaching. 100% recommend
Great class and guys
Instructors and class were great. Learned a lot and enjoyed it.
Pistol 1 class was awesome. I learned so much and improved my shooting in just one class. Can't wait to further my training with this great group of instructors.
