Cambell in the Archery dept knows his stuff. I’m new to all this, and he didn’t hesitate to answer all my questions and then some. Thank you Big Woods for having Cambell apart of the team.

Been frequenting BWG for 14 or so years now. Have bought multiple guns, ammunition, and accessories from them. Have used their gunsmith services as well. Outstanding handgun, long gun, and optic inventory. Very clean and well run range. Friendly staff. Free range time pass with every gun I’ve purchased there. This is my favorite store in the state.

I’ve had a good experience and a poor experience here so I’ll split the difference and leave a 3 star review. My first time in was good, the first guy I talked to was talking a bit above my head and was giving out some incorrect information (saying a heavier bullet doesn’t hit as hard because it can’t penetrate as well?? Physics says something that heavier will have more impact due to the increased mass ie more inertia) and seemed to struggle with explaining firearm specific terms in novice friendly terms. A second older gentleman came out and was friendly, patient, and sold me on a firearm. He was very inviting and I appreciated his help. The next time I came in and dealt with Robert I did not have a good experience. Robert was extremely pushy. In other stores I’ve visited they will remove the magazine and open to bolt to ensure there is nothing in the firearm but Robert never did that and was swinging the firearm around a good bit. It made my partner with me uncomfortable and I found it unprofessional. Robert seemed to act like he did not know who IWI is and came off as disingenuous in the way he explained competing gun models to the ones I was looking at. dismissing some concerns I had with the firearms he was showing me. I like this store. Their selection is great and most of their staff is very knowledgeable but I would definitely appreciate some of them, especially Robert, to chill out a bit and not make me feel so pressured to hold to firearm, take photos with it, and dismiss my concerns. If I feel like people are being honest and kind then I’m more inclined to do business simply because I want to support genuine businesses. Overall I still recommend anyone visit the store, take a look around, view their great selection but I recommend you do a bit of research before you come in.

Good variety of firearms, really good attentive customer service staff, Steve was very knowledgeable and helpful to help decide on my firearm purchase. I will most likely take a few of their courses to strengthen my abilities with firearms.
