Freedom Shooting Center ATL

I have got to be honest I’m usually not one to ever leave a review good or bad but the experience was so impactful I had to share. Not a fan of this business and the manager. Look it’s not a bad place but if you value paying a fair price and feeling respected I wouldn’t give any word of mouth recommendations. Never buy bulk ammo from this shop I learned that the hard way today paid 150$ over retail. 699$ for 1,000 of 5.56 and at sportsman’s it’s 580$ for green tips. Probably my fault as I’m new to the state. That said this is the only shop I’ve been to 4-5 times and the manager comes off as arrogant at times or just plain couldn’t care less, made my wife feel uncomfortable when he leaned in close and put his food up on the stool while she was filling out paperwork (manager name Levi). The only reason these guys want to talk to you is because they are on commission. Unfortunately I heard one of their salesman bragging about how they convinced someone to trade in their AK with Russian parts that can’t be bought anymore for 800$ and were bragging about reselling it for 3k and that’s what put the nail in the coffin for me. Defiantly a bad look from a customer perspective. Essentially it is a big box store feel when it comes to simple firearm purchases and everyday stuff. I personally don’t go for that kind of hospitality but hey everyone got a focus of their own I get it people are trying to make money. It’s incredible that this place has all these positive reviews and yet only the bad ones have the likes. The owner obviously doesn’t care like I said I get it money is money, and if that’s how you want to be treated this is the place. My simple opinion. Look elsewhere. Bummer you have to select even a single star to write a review.

Exactly what we wanted! Really excellent staff, they were informative and made sure we were comfortable with the firearms. Prices were fair, selection for rentals was what we were looking for. For non resident shooters the place was great !

***Update: Stoddard's is under new management and they honored my cancelation. The new owners seem very reasonable and upstanding. Changing my stars from 1 to 4. ***Update: I canceled my membership in January. It's June and these scammers are still charging my credit card. Just dispute the charge or better yet, don't get involved with these people.*** Do not sign up for a membership at this range. I have called, emailed, and visited in person to cancel my membership. I finally got an email confirmation from Cierra at Stoddard's in January saying my membership had been canceled. It's March and they are still charging me every month for my canceled membership. I have disputed every cc charge since they "canceled" my membership and my cc company has resolved the dispute in my favor every month. Be prepared to do this forever if you make the mistake of signing up for a membership at this range.

I went just get a few rounds in for practice but one of the employees, Chevy...gave me some helpful tips and helped me adjust my scope... great guy that doesn't mind teaching..he was actually helping everyone on the lanes. Much appreciated!!

I went today as a first time buyer looking to try out a few handguns. Chevy was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and made me feel right at home. He immediately recognized a few issues I have and pivoted into what would be best for me. Everyone at the range was great, but Chevy specifically ensured I’d be coming back. I’ll be back next weekend to try a couple more and make my purchase!

The atmosphere here is great. One of the best indoor ranges I've been to so far. Went with a friend and I'm glad a did. Customer service is also great, shout-out to Chevy and all the other staff. They are very attentive and have great attitudes.
