The Powder Room

I had a phenomenal experience going through the courses and private lessons offered here, with step-by-step instructions on handling both a handgun and a rifle. The classes are very in-depth, and the instructors (Michael Kelly and Jeanine) are amazing taking the time to make sure everything is understood. As a woman and someone new to this, I appreciated how patient and supportive they were throughout the process. Outside of the courses and private lessons, even just visiting the range as a newer shooter, the staff on site were so helpful and supportive. It’s clear the whole team is knowledgeable and committed to providing excellent service all around. I highly recommend this place to anyone, whether you’re new or experienced.

My husband (Physician) went in today with my two grandsons to purchase an AR15 and to practice shooting on the range with 3 guns we already own. The employee helping my family has no customer service or sales experience whatsoever. They weren’t allowed to shoot because they had shorts on. The employee also told them they didn’t having shooting shoes on. What are shooting shoes? Obviously we have experience going to shooting ranges and know the proper attire. My husband went on to just discuss purchasing the new gun. The employee told him he had to wait 3 days which we already knew. My husband told him we would be out of town for the next 10 days and the employee told him to just wait to purchase the gun then. Why didn’t the employee go ahead and do the paperwork so my husband could pick up the gun when we were back in town. My husband and grandsons felt as if they were treated like second class citizens because they came straight from working in my husband’s workshop. They just wanted to get a couple of hours of shooting in and to purchase a $4000 gun. They left they never wanting to go back. They didn’t get to practice shooting and weren’t able to purchase another gun. What is the employee doing there if he can’t help a customer do these two simple tasks. They’re working at a shooting range that sells guns 🤔

Great intro class with Jeanine! Her passion for teaching and knowledge were super helpful. As a novice, I felt super comfortable. She also gave constructive feedback and tips which I appreciated. Staff was friendly and facility was clean/organized/safe! Will be back!

We have had multiple excellent experiences with the powder room. Staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. The range is the best in the area, family, friendly, and most importantly, air-conditioned!
