I used Volusia County Gun & Hunt Club to support our In-Plant Acceptance Test for a prototype and they were excellent. They were very flexible, accommodating adjustments in the days we required different ranges and extending when needed. Working with the staff was very easy and made the test as smooth as possible. Quality facilities and top notch staff, highly recommend.

By far the best group of people in Volusia County. Every single other range is a 2 compared to this 10 out of 10. No egos, no bravado, no ninja Ricks here either. Safety is #1, it's clean, and feels like it should feel. Don't drive fast entering or leaving, or you won't be returning. Respect the property as you should.

I became a member at Volusia Gun and Hunt Club on February 7th and have only visited four times since joining. Unfortunately, I decided to cancel my membership, as the experience just wasn’t the right fit for me. One of my main concerns was the condition of the facilities, specifically the bathrooms. I understand portable restrooms are tough to maintain in the heat, but each time I visited, they were in very poor condition. Clean, functional facilities are a basic expectation, especially considering the cost of membership and due to a recent surgery and as woman, the bathroom is a necessity. Another concern was the interaction with range staff. Despite following all the rulesincluding wearing my badge visibly, I was repeatedly approached by one of the RSOs after check-in, being asked questions that had already been answered, like my name, membership status, and duration. Even when I brought a guest who completed all waivers and payments, we were still questioned unnecessarily. This made both me and my guests uncomfortable and left me feeling singled out, especially after noticing this wasn’t happening to other members. From a value standpoint, I didn’t feel I was getting what I paid for. The $450 membership didn’t include access to the World of Steel, which requires an extra $5 per visit. I also had to bring everything I needed such as target stands, paper, and wooden sticks because the only thing provided was cardboard. Over time, it just became exhausting to haul all my own gear for what felt like very little return. That said, please don’t steer away from the range entirely based on my experience. Maureen was very kind, took the time to hear my concerns, and even provided a partial refund. She gave me her direct number in case I choose to return in the future, which I really appreciated. Her professionalism stood out and gave me hope that things might improve. I truly hope the range continues to grow and invest more into member experience with better facilities, more inclusive treatment, and upgraded features. With some changes, I think it could be a great place for shooters.

TO THOSE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE RULES: In the shooting world, safety rules exist for a reason. They are there for your safety as well as the range staff and everyone around you. I have never been to this range, but all ranges have the same rules of safety, and this is no different. The rules exist for a reason. Follow them and you will be fine. If you can't follow safety rules then maybe you shouldn't own a gun at all. -H

VERY PRICEY! Ive been here before and loved it especially because shotguns allowed. Recently, they have decided that no more shotguns allowed and said it was because people was destroying stuff. Dont know the details but I wasnt happy... Took a day off just to shoot and had to cancel
