Had I written this review based on my first five visits to Stone Hart Gun Club, I would have given a much higher rating. Each of those experiences was outstanding. Most of the staff, especially Bryan, were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. I also want to highlight an instructor (unfortunately, I can’t recall his name) who helped my wife overcome her fear of firearms. He was truly incredible, prioritizing safety while still making the experience enjoyable. These interactions reflect the high standards and dedication of much of the team. Unfortunately, my most recent visit left me with a very different impression. When I went on Sunday to pick up my first firearm, I shared how positive my prior experiences had been and mentioned that my brother-in-law was also considering purchasing one. I asked for Bryan, but the manager, Manuel (or Emmanuel), dismissively replied, “Thank God he’s not here,” while others laughed. I then asked about lane considerations—since mine had been waived when I purchased my gun—and his response was, “I can’t have you getting used to it.” The tone and delivery were unnecessarily condescending, and when I mentioned that my brother-in-law could simply buy elsewhere, his response was, “You’re right, you could go there,” again followed by laughter from employees. To be clear, I wasn’t asking for anything free—I was simply expecting the same respectful treatment I had received from the rest of the staff in the past. Instead, I encountered rudeness and a lack of basic customer service skills from someone in a leadership position. While some might say, “It’s just one person,” the reality is that a manager sets the tone and culture for the team. My concern is that this behavior, if unchecked, could influence others and erode the otherwise positive environment Stone Hart has built. Overall, I’m not telling anyone to stay away. I just want to share my honest experience. While this last encounter will unfortunately be my final one here, I still encourage anyone who visits to ask for Bryan. He is exceptional—patient, knowledgeable, and a model of outstanding customer service.

Stone Hart Gun Club offers the Concealed Carry class backed by the USCCA, and it’s an excellent course. The instructor, Gerald, does a fantastic job making the class both informative and engaging. Highly recommended!
