NEED TO BE THERE 30 MINUTES EARLY. NOT 15. They haven’t update their website and they get pretty ornery when you show up late
Great outdoor range. Staff are helpful and safety conscious. One thing to note is they require you to arrive 30 minutes before your start time despite what the web site says.
Actually a nice place...despite all the other reviews...Range Officers are good guys just want everyone to be safe...Also State of CT!!! Should change the website to state get there 30min before your session.
Too bad this place is only open on weekends.
If you shoot firearms and are seeking practice at an outdoor range, the state of Connecticut maintains this excellent outdoor range with a 100-yard distance in Glastonbury Connecticut. If you're registered in the state Sportsman's licensing system you can register online for a session on Saturday or Sunday. Session time start at 10:00 and 11:45, and there is a ceasefire for a Target change in the middle of each session. Bring your own Target, they have staplers if you need. Make sure to be there at least 30 minutes before your shift starts for registration and setup before the range safety briefing. There is one fully handicapped accessible, role in bench for folks who may be in a wheelchair.
Such a great place to put rounds down range, excellent RSOs, beautiful scenery, relaxed and inviting atmosphere, absolutely recommend
I enjoy the regimented rules and structure. There are 3 range officers for the 10 benches and they do a great job making sure everyone is being safe. Usually a good crowd of people there. Make sure to show up 30 min early. The website says 15, but it's wrong.
