MSI Pistol Range

Sometimes it's good. Sometimes it's not. Due to an "old style" backstop, this range requires plated ammo. Today was the second time they ran out of 9mm ammo for sale. This type of ammo is not available at any brick and mortar locations. I've tried a few different types of ammo that was classified as plated ammo, but each time were deemed "unapproved". This range desperately needs to update it's facility, have better supplies management, or provide adequate suppliers for their approved ammo. Not to mention the price for their "approved" ammo is not low. They charge $5 per box of 9mm more than the supplier they receive it from on top of their annual membership or per range visit cost. The benefits here are they are the least expensive around for range time, and the range is rarely, if ever crowded. Most of the people associated with this range are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The ammunition, target restrictions, and lack of hours of operation except for Saturday mornings are the only really issues. My personal hope is that more members will lead to a better facility/hours.
