The older employee here is really harsh. I’ve been going for years, and this last time, I brought guests and we were treated very poorly at check-in. We ended up leaving very upset/frustrated. I can’t come back after the experience. I haven’t been spoken to like that since I was a kid. These are the kinds of interactions that can make this sport/community feel unapproachable.
Just go somewhere else - half of their business hours the gate is closed. I recently brought a few friends who had never been. We showed up 45 minutes before the end of the day and the older range officer layed into me “you’re a little late buddy - don’t put your things on my table” - embarrassed me, ruined our day - left us all stunned. Look at how many other people share similar experiences. Why? Just be nice man.
Terrific range management by the Danbury Shooting Club
Great place, very knowledgeable personnel
Best outdoor range in the area. Staff are welcoming but also prioritize safety, which is a must. The atmosphere is also great and will always be more enjoyable than an indoor range. Prices are super reasonable as well.
Rating is for the gun range. Simple outdoor facility. Well run. Weekends can be crowded. The price is right.
The only way you are getting reprimanded here is if you do something unsafe. This is a great range. They allow a lot that other ranges don't examples no age for children, steel targets, patterning a shotgun etc. I wish I could give it more stars.
