We’re visiting Denver and we had a great experience here today. The guys were super helpful at getting us set up with everything we needed. And, they made sure to come out to our station to make sure we knew how to operate the traps. Highly recommend!!
Ok, before you go you are going to pay more than you want. If that’s a problem the state runs free ranges. But this place costs money. If you want no line, you got to get there at the open, or maybe a weekday. It gets busy. The place was safe and my daughter loved it. We spent about 65 bucks and brought our own ammo. Keep in mind if you rent a gun you have to do a background check. It’s a pain. Get your own gun. The range officers were cool and we had no issues. Will I be back? Maybe depending on how tight for time we are.
Nice range and good prices. Had a really good experience in the office and range was clean and safe
Had 3 great experiences here but the most recent was terrible. Got setup on a pistol lane where the bottom board was broken and causing the target backers to flap in the wind. On the first target change I brought this to the attention of the RSO and was basically shrugged off. Some wind came through causing the top board to twist and make the target backer fall off when I went to reattach my target. When I tried to fix it and brought it to the RSO's attention again, he became immediately confrontational and rude. He blamed me saying I was shooting the boards and it was my fault that it broke. When I told the RSO that I was just trying to fix it his response was 'that's good for you'. He continued to condescend me until I walked away. I never shot the boards on purpose and he never intervened to tell me I was doing anything wrong. I complained to the office about him and the guy behind the counter was respectful and apologetic and said he would talk with the RSO and get them to fix the targets. I should have asked for my range fee back as the RSO's behavior rubbed me the wrong way and made me leave early. Everything else about the visit was great but the one RSO and because of him, I probably wont come back.
Great shooting center; staff was friendly and knowledgeable, range was clean and safe. I took my boys here for their first time shooting and had a lot of fun.
Friendly staff.
One of the best experiences I've had at a shooting range it's amazing and for a great price dosent get better then this place
Staff were very friendly, RSO keen to follow rules. $24/person for less than 45 minutes of range time at the end of the day was unfortunate. Rifle targets are too far out if you don't have a scope. Allergies were really bad around here and I'm not typically bothered.
Family Shooting Center is a wonderful range to meet all of your needs. The staff is very knowledgeable and inviting on any techniques you have or even would like to try. They have ranges for pistol, rifle and shotgun. If you fancy a different weapon that you might like to try, they have rentals in all categories and will give you a safety brief on how to use and shoot that weapon. For anyone looking for an all around range that treats you like old friends every time you walk in, you found the right place. I have been going to this range for over a decade and have tried many others. This place by far is the most versatile and accommodating range in Colorado.
