Really nice and huge facility
Excellent place to practice our blessed 2A. Friendly and well knowledgeable staff. Always willing to help and not constantly breathing over your shoulder like many other ranges. Great deals at the gun store and I might add that "Charles" not only knows guns as well as I know motorcycles, but he went well out of his way not once, but twice to help me out!!! Yu da man Charles!!!
I’ve been coming to this range for a while and generally enjoy it, but one RSO has made my experience frustrating. Over a year ago, my account was flagged for allegedly shooting high based on another visitor’s complaint. While my group may have had a few high shots due to recoil control, we were not intentionally being unsafe. The RSO then accused us of other violations he never witnessed, just based on one person’s word. Since then, this same RSO has repeatedly harassed me every time I visit, making up new reasons to confront me. Just today, he claimed I was also speeding(somehow?) on that same day over a year ago. When I replied "sure", he just went full berserk and yelled at me,"HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME? I DO NOT DESERVE THIS!" Then he threatened to kick me out when I tried to reason with him. I follow the safety rules and like most of the staff, but this one guy has made my visits unpleasant. I hope management addresses this kind of behavior so people can enjoy the range without unnecessary harassment. Update: I finally decided to talk the manager about this rso but oh boy did it go horribly. He stopped listening half way and laughed in my face. and then accused me of lying and told me that their rso would never do such a thing and that if I have a problem with their attitudes towards I should find another range. I was told by an employee that I should bring it up to the manager to resolve this issue. The ego and unwillingness to admit they’re at fault of the management here is astonishing. I hope other visitors don’t get targeted by their rso since the management always stick up for them, but never give a damn about the customers. Second update: Route 66 banned my account even though I did not break any rules. The manager probably saw this comment and decided to retaliate. My final response to the manager who got triggered: I have spoken with at least three RSOs that I got along with very well, and they all acknowledged the same individual I’ve been referring to. To quote directly: “Sometimes the guy gets bored and takes it out on guests.” Another told me, “I think it’s XXX — he’s known for doing that. He’s not with us anymore though, he went on to become a cop in another state.” If your own employees are aware of the issue, then you as the manager are certainly aware of it too. Yet instead of addressing the misconduct, you chose to defend him and cover it up. That choice speaks volumes about your character. What’s worse is that when I tried to have a mature, respectful conversation about it, I was cut off, laughed at, and later labeled “rude” as if that somehow justified banning me. It’s telling — and troubling — that raising a legitimate concern about staff behavior is treated as a bannable offense. That isn’t professionalism; it’s retaliation. Good luck with that kind of business practice.
Staff here are courteous and professional. First time at this range and I thought it was pretty cool. I did dock them two stars because the steel gallery needs updating. I didn't like that the closest targets were on the floor. As I arrived I was hit by shrapnel, but not with enough power to cut the skin. Secondly they should have a tree for every station. They only had a few and some were broken. The station we were able to get only had one medium distance steel target. For a place as professional as this you would think they would have better steel targets.
Used the range for the first time on 8/28/25 The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful throughout the registration process and on to range safety rules and procedures There was a total of three persons in my party and we had a “blast”(pun intended) as a person with mobility issues (I use a cane),I felt very comfortable on the range grounds The ammo store and shop appeared to be very well stocked too I suggest bringing light snacks, soft drinks or water and perhaps a chair (there was a table & bench @ our lane) I look forward to many more future visits to this facility I definitely recommend this location for safety and ease of use as well as access to the shooting areas
