The staff are very knowledgeable and I was in and out as fast as the state of Cali would allow me. O and a very nice gun range too.

I recently had an excellent experience at Kings Gun Center where I purchased a Ruger handgun. I wanted to give a special shout-out to Anthony, who assisted me with the selection and purchase process. Anthony was incredibly knowledgeable and patient filling out all the forms required. I highly recommend Kings Gun Center for anyone looking to purchase a firearm or use their shooting range. And if you go, be sure to ask for Anthony – he provides outstanding service!

Decided to write a review after visiting this place for what would be maybe 4 years. I haven't visited since the COVID impact started, so these are my experiences prior to march 2020. Gun range is good. Especially in the summer months (air conditioning? that's a no brainer). Now, the staff I've had mixed experiences with. Some days I'll go in and the dude behind the counter is real chill and helpful, other days it's a condescending mess with an annoyed vibe. Like a "buy your shit and leave" kind of thing. There's been NUMEROUS times where I call and ask for a certain firearm or item in stock and they would be very short and rude with their answer. Asked if they carried a certain cartridge and was met with a "Yes but we are NOT selling to the general public right now." Kind of said it in a tone like he wanted me to buzz off. It's a shame because they are the only BIG local gun store in town....which leads to my next point. Transfer fees are high. If you purchase a firearm online and want to transfer it through them, you are likely going to pay another 150+ on top of it. Edit 2025: So I want to lower my score a bit after visiting this place more often (only to use the lanes every now and then) since some of the positives I have noted previously are no longer present. The range last time was very hot when I used it. It's June and the showroom felt great, but in the actual range it's like the AC wasn't on or something. Might as well go to Lemoore to target shoot if that's the case (membership is much cheaper, and only a ~10-15 minute drive). Staff still very hit or miss. Everything is still severely overpriced compared to other stores within 30 minutes. Ammo is double what it cost compared to other places in kings and tulare county. Membership prices are ridiculous, $450 a year? It's a nice range, but not 450 dollars a year nice. No more all online ccw course as far as I can tell. Renewals AND new applicants have to go in person while competitors offer all online options for cheaper or the same price. I used to use the range here about once every month or so to brush up, but honestly, I think I'm just going to start going to Lemoore Sportsmans Club, where they even have different range setups and far greater distances, as well as being much cheaper for an annual membership.
