Easy to get to, right off hwy 21, its not my idea of a range but it is free, range is somewhat maintained and would be better so if people would pick up their brass and shot shells, know that there are not target stands here, I didn't know this, several shooters who come on a regular basis built their own.
It's a safe place for shooting. People who visit the place is nice and friendly.
*Real "hours" it's open for use is actually sunrise to sunset, maps doesn't allow that to be listed as when it's open however* Absolutely a great place to go, for NO USE FEES. Supply your own targets, and please people ... Pick up your trash... The locals that don't want to see it closed down spend hours every week and almost daily cleaning up.
It's a convenient place to go shoot. Unfortunately, you never know how many people will be there at any given time. Sometimes you have the whole place to yourself. Other times, you're tripping over each other.
Really enjoy this place! It's a bit of a drive but we'll worth it! Hasn't been overly crowded, but others care about your safety and will let you go reset your targets in-between reloading and will communicate with you whem they want to go on the range. Never felt concerned for my safety, until skeet shooters show up.
I always enjoy shooting here. Really nice people.
Used to be a great place to shoot, when it was actually maintained. Seems like since they put in the bathroom, they have done zero maintenance to the range itself, once upon a time there was poles and chicken wore to hang targets on, been years since that was done
Quiet, safe well maintained
