Smith Park Gun Range

Not a bad range. Covered shooting benches are a plus. Do note that targets and Target holders are not to be had there you need to bring your own, And you are expected to clean up your brass and used up targets.. You will need to get a permit that's good for the whole year at the county sheriff's office in Texarkana. Only four stars because marked distances would be greatly appreciated. Especially when attempting to sight in a firearm or trying to practice with handguns.

Park ranger was one of the rudest people i have ever met. He started listing fake rules about the range that were nowhere to be found on any of the rule boards. Had no explanation for us behind them and ultimately ruined a 14 year olds day by draining any and all fun out of the evening. I completely understand the safety and precautions behind shooting, but when you are told there are certain guns you are and are not allowed to shoot. there was apparently a regulation on what kind of targets you are allowed to use. But no evidence behind these rules it feels like you are just unwanted at a range you paid money to go to.

Had alot of fun driving an hour round trip to a range I'm not allowed to use. No mention anywhere online about where to actually get a permit. Probably for the best since it was absolutely disgusting

"From a woman's perspective" I love how some people react lol. They are honest on price, pics don't lie, good bang for your buck! Kept up by hard working honest folk (we clean up our own crap, not yours)! If you want uptown shooting don't come here! Go join a club! 🤣 How's that for an honest review my AR/TX folks🤣 I have never been hassled here and that's kinda the point! Not in close proximity but worth the drive to SOME of us, but hey they don't hassle us in my town either 😉

This place is pretty awesome, especially since they've installed the archery range and targets at the rifle range. It very well kept, and patrons are very respectful and typically clean up after themselves.

Good range with clean bathroom. People are friendly and care about safety. There are pot holes and uneven surface, so you might have to get a good target stand :)
