Sands Ranch Wildcat Range

The rancher has closed the range. Its posted as "private property" and the gate has a "HUGE" chain on both ends. Rumor is someone shot up a water tank and some water lines. There is always those 10% asshats that spoil it for the rest of us. I checked with BLM, Game and Fish and State Trust and its a valid closure. Plus stage 2 fire restrictions apply. Also it is "not" state trust land. It is private property belonging to the "Sands Ranch" as verified via BLM and Game and Fish.

I've been coming here for over 10 years and am extremely grateful that it exists. With that being said, PLEASE keep this area clean and don't do anything stupid otherwise many of us will loose a fantastic spot to target practice that's free.

This is state trust land and target shooting is prohibited on all state trust land.

Very quiet. Generally good place to shoot. Bring shelter from the sun and plenty of water.
