Sucks they closed it, was a good spot. Guess I’ll be looking for a new spot now if anyone has some suggestions.

Sands Ranch owns it....The range no longer exists.

This is/was a great place to go shoot during the week as a retired guy. For the most part, people were good about picking up after themselves, but obviously, others weren't.

As of 4/18/2025 the sign now says Sands Ranch and the gates are padlock saying private property. Word is inconsiderate people shooting the water lines dictated the change.. Now looking for a new spot.

Awesome little range we had fun out here just make sure when you go take the road at mile marker 301 when you're going south on Highway 90. Edit to my review, it's still open. Just pick up your trash when you leave.

The area I went to is hard to reach without a 4x4 truck

It still is my favorite range to go to. Big boy rules and everybody police is up their own brass. Plenty of space for lots of shooters. You can fire just about any weapon there.

Relatively clean for a free shooting spot, but it does have it's drawbacks. Big one is the cow patties, they're everywhere from the roaming cows. Big word of advice, check in with people already there to make sure they're not about to take a long distance shot. Also always be aware as someone can just decide to park 20 yards from your target behind some bushes all willy nilly. Or just go in the pit, pick an area to yourself and have fun safely practicing.
