Mr Alan and his team is real easy to work with. Nice facility and excellent ammo pricing.
Wonderful and safe place to get some practice in or to sight in your deer rifle. On-site pro shop for convenience. And they also have an archery range.
Absolutely the best range around! If you aren't a member, then I recommend this place for you. And the pro shop is a huge plus, selling all your range and ammunition needs. Simple rules and great staff.
Totally worth the money
top notch range! The owners have always been available when my gate card failed to work. Love watching the special events on the weekends.
Best Range to Train in Alabama 100%!!!!!
I love shooting at EAGC because of the fresh air real element environment. You are most likely not going to always be inside in a controlled environment when something kicks off so it is great to have the effects of the wind, heat and cold so you know how to adjust to account for these and many other environmental conditions.
Truly a phenomenal range that allows you to shoot in various scenarios and ranges.
**Disclaimer** Firstly, let me state that I’m not a Member, but ifs something that I've been contemplating on plan. I’ve gone with my buddy about 10 times over an 18-month span with most of it being in the last few months. That said, I do feel I’ve spent enough time there to come up with some feedback as I’ve read the handbook and have been taught by my friend who’s a member. Overall, the best and closest Range within 20 miles and it almost checks every box. Here are some of my personal Pros and Cons. ———————————————————— • PROS - A fair amount of Bays with varied distances, but that being said, I feel like there should be a few 50-yard Bays before the backstop, and 1 or 2 100-yard Bays. - I like how there are Steel Target Bays, but think there should be more. - The Brass exchange is a nice benefit, but only if your back allows you to pick up lol. I like the course they started putting out, but think they should do 2 types a week. There are more Pros, but this review is getting long. ———————————————————— • CONS - Not enough Steel Target Bays, particularly AR500 rated so people can use higher caliber rounds like .233/.556!-and ETC. - AR-500 rated Targets should be on nearly every as well. Also, the most fun Steel Target Bay (2nd or 3rd Bay after Gate which is also pistol only) doesn't have any kind of covering which sucks when it rains or when it's blisteringly hot. - Unsure if this is possible, but it would be huge if power was run to the Bays that we there can be a ceiling fan installed and lights for whenever it's storming because it can't get pretty dark. Additionally, given people power outlets to charge their stuff, plug up their own fan, and/or especially when it's winter people could bring their space heater. - All Target Stands need a complete overhaul. The bases need to be made out of a rust-resistant steel and the vertical poles may need to be metal as well making it where people clamp their targets. The Targets have been fine until recently, and now it's gotten really bad over the last year or so, particularly the wood vertical beams. - Membership: So for someone like me, paying for a membership currently doesn't make much sense as I wouldn't get to use it much, as the last 6 months is the most I've gone without big time gaps, and that's because I've been lucky with work as I sold my company, but plan to be creating a new 1. So one of the biggest issues is the cost per guess passes. I feel like Members should be allowed 1 free guest every trip, regardless of family, friend, acquaintance, or whatever. Ant additionally non-immediate would cost the guest fee. This particular rule urges me to leave a 2 star, but I’m not going to. You could even put a cap on it like Members can bring a non-immediate family member no more than once a week, which is a max of 4. Also you should be allowed to pay for different length memberships tiers: 1. Monthly 2. 3 months 3. 6 months 4. 1-Year 5. 2+ Just some kind of feedback because I think that's a role that needs to change as soon as possible.
